Our goal is to make you feel comfortable before, during, and after the extraction procedure. Here is what you can expect for extractions:
Oral Exam: We begin with an oral examination and x-ray that evaluates the position of the wisdom teeth and allows our dentists at Mirage Dental to determine if there are any present or potential future problems.
Extraction: In most cases, the removal of wisdom teeth is performed under intravenous (IV) sedation. We provide an environment of optimum safety that utilizes modern monitoring equipment. Our Team is experienced in anesthesia techniques, and will make your visit as comfortable as possible. These options, as well as the surgical risks (i.e. sensory nerve damage, sinus complications), will be discussed with you before the procedure is performed. Once the teeth are removed, the gum is sutured.
Post Treatment: Once the removal process is finished, you will rest under our supervision until you are ready to be taken home. We will provide you with a postoperative kit that includes care instructions, a prescription for pain medication, antibiotics, and a follow-up appointment for suture removal.
